As 2012 comes to a close, I’m making my list of New Year‘s Intentions. (I don’t make resolutions, but rather set intentions. To me it feels less committing without guilt attached in case I don’t achieve everything I hope to.)
One of those intentions is to keep the inquiring minds that visit this site better informed about progress on s/v Sundown, our anticipated launch and the miscellaneous goings on in our world. So with this post, I’m getting a jump start on following through with one of my intentions.
If you’ve read any of our other posts, you know we aren’t ones to sit still too long and that we have a busy life. With three sons and another young man who’s a pseudo-adopted son, a husband, a big blonde Golden Retriever, Seren the Dog, living under one roof (my roof!), I frequently say I live in a frat house/zoo. (The zoo feeling has been heightened by the presence of a one-year-old Great Dane “puppy” that we’ve been dog sitting.) Combine that with a full-time job, various freelance work, a weekly radio show, working on the boat, my knitting addiction, playing my guitar, singing and just keeping up with life, and you have my excuse for not writing more often…at least until now. Even if they are short and sweet, I intend to publish more posts in 2013.
And fortunately, since my husband has made a lot of progress on Sundown, I have an ample supply of writing fodder. My next post will feature highlights of what’s new. I’ll update the photo gallery, too, so you can see for yourself my husband’s handiwork.
So I bid 2012 farewell and wish us all a happy, healthy New Year!
Looking forward to the updates on the boat! Best of luck with 2013….may all your intentions come to fruition!
Catching up with you, Kim, makes my life seem positively serene! I hope enough your many intentions come to pass that you wear a smile and are satisfied. Let’s connect in person sooner rather than later in 2013!
I’d love to see you soon, Christie! I’d also like some of that serene feeling – pass it my way, please!
